Overview

BQG Mining Pneumatic Diaphragm Pump

BQG pumps use compressed air to drive diaphragm chambers through alternating suction and discharge strokes.

The main unit can work on the bank while its suction pipe is placed in the medium. The BQG-Z arrangement adds float-controlled pneumatic automatic start-stop.

Applications

  • Mine drainage and liquid transfer points where the main unit can remain on the bank and a suction pipe can be placed in the medium.
  • Intermittent sump drainage after the exact model, medium and compressed-air supply have been reviewed.

Working principle

Compressed air drives the diaphragm chambers so that suction and discharge alternate between the chambers.

Four check valves control liquid direction while the pilot air valve switches the pneumatic drive between strokes.

Features

  • Pneumatic diaphragm drive powered by compressed air.
  • Bank-side main-unit arrangement with the suction pipe placed in the medium.
  • BQG-Z configuration with float and pneumatic automatic start-stop.

Verified conditions

Medium temperature
≤ 40 °C
pH range
pH 6–8

Selection inputs

  • Required transfer rate, discharge requirement and suction arrangement.
  • Available compressed-air supply and the proposed air-line configuration.
  • Medium temperature, pH and any solids or particles requiring exact-model review.
  • Manual operation or a BQG-Z float-controlled automatic start-stop requirement.

Verification before selection

No family-wide solids concentration or particle limit is stated here. Verify the medium, exact model and current manual before selection.

Frequently asked questions

How does a BQG pump move liquid?

Compressed air alternates the diaphragm chamber strokes; four check valves direct suction and discharge while a pilot air valve controls switching.

Can the main pump stay outside the liquid?

The current manual describes a bank-side main unit with its suction pipe placed in the medium. Confirm suction conditions for the selected arrangement.

What is different about BQG-Z?

BQG-Z adds float-controlled pneumatic automatic start-stop. The exact configuration still needs to be confirmed during selection.
